  • Issue Tracking: Rigorously track compliance-related issues. Integrate them with your existing bug tracking system and prioritize them appropriately.
  • Risk Assessment: Regularly assess potential compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Audit Trails: Maintain detailed audit trails of all compliance-related activities. This makes it easier to demonstrate compliance to auditors and regulators.
  • Retrospectives for Continuous Improvement: Don’t treat compliance as a “set it and forget it” exercise. Just like software, compliance benefits from continuous improvement. Regularly conduct retrospectives to identify areas for improvement. Team retrospectives are valuable for addressing specific issues within a product area, while organization-level retrospectives can help identify systemic problems and improve overall compliance processes.
